Hi! 👋 I'm Jose, a software developer currently based out of Columbia, Maryland right between Washington, DC and Baltimore. I originally hail from the suburbs of the sunshine state in South Florida.
I worked for the U.S. Government for close to 10 years as a cybersecurity engineer, building tools and systems for the purpose of protecting national defense systems. My focus was primarily working with embedded and network communication systems.
When I'm not in the office you can usually find me hanging out with friends playing a CTF or playing volleyball, climbing rock walls at the gym, planning my next trip, or just sharpening my technical skills on platforms like pwn.college or HackTheBox, or working on one of my perpetually unfinished projects like FinBud -- a personal finance tracking and budgeting tool I'm designing to replace my Excel workflow.
